We’ve said goodbye for what seems long

But I’ll be brave in time between

Although the pickings may be lean

That hints at sadness, Yeah, a feather

Falling hurts, we’re not together

The memory of every smile

The shining of your loving eyes

The shyness of your half-surprise

When my compliments beguile

Your thrilling voice when you reply

Disturb, delight, as time goes by

Until we meet – okay that’s only
