A love in verse

My 3 Girls

They go, in sun and wind, past standing cars

I watch their backs whom I love so

Smart and striding upright and purposeful;

The corner by the battered shop is reached

They carry each an enormous part

Of what is best on earth for me.

My sunny women, my glorious girls, and you

My darling, most principal among the fair

Thanks for yourself and our most gorgeous daughters.

The corner turned, they’ve gone and I remain

Most grateful to heaven.

The hospital has the Cedar Room

Where visitors may go to rest

From watching the very sick...

Sonnet: We Argue

We Argue – harmony has some bum notes

Uninterrupted bliss is not our scene

My poems suggest our love has nothing mean...
