A love in verse

The days would have been rainier

The dark sky never clear

If you’d gone to Tasmania

And sadly I’d stayed here

In the wrong hemisphere

I might have died quite young one day

Empty, lost and blue

But been reborn far far away

A silly kangaroo

And hopped right up to you

And you’d have looked at me, said “streuth  –

An ugly brute, sport, that’s the truth!”

Those Two

Crudely pinned, the walls all wear

Dozens of paintings; on the floor

In stripy dress a silent bear...

Day’s Reprieve

The garden settles in for the evening

The sun’s gone down behind the trees

The still light sky won't let the night bring...
