A love in verse

Love

Another Christmas day, carols and praise –

Two dozen Christmases we’ve shared – and more

We’ll care and fare through, relishing the days

Of Pete and A’bugs. A willing donkey bore

God and his mother through the cold crisp eve

And part because of you this I believe –

And that He brought me to whom I adore

He works mysterious but so lovely ways.

I learn that love is all that life is for.

Vain Summer Things

In void cloudless afternoons

With dust on kerbs, trees weary with the sun

I thought of things, things I might do...

"Guess What, Love"

Sometimes you don’t remember she’s gone

-You should, it’s quiet- in the rooms, outside

And it’s quiet because she’s died...
